Job Summary
The Department of Psychology at East Tennessee State University invites applications for the Director of the ETSU Behavioral Health and Wellness Clinic (BHWC), the on-campus training clinic for the APA-accredited Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology. This position works collaboratively with the Director of Clinical Training and clinical faculty to support the BHWC's dual mission of providing high-quality behavioral health services and professionally meaningful training experiences for doctoral students in clinical psychology.
Primary responsibilities include developing, coordinating, and overseeing the activities of the BHWC; pursuing established clinic goals related to client services and graduate clinical training; supervising clinic office staff and contracted supervisory personnel, as needed; and providing clinical supervision for doctoral practicum students training within the clinic. The Clinic Director also teaches graduate-level coursework related to clinical practice, advises the Director of Clinical Training regarding emerging training needs and professional practice issues, and in coordination with the DCT, may assist with relationships involving external clinical training and service facilities. Additional responsibilities may include oversight of clinic operational systems and processes that support the delivery of training and services within the BHWC.
