What You’ll Do

• Oversee daily operations of the blood bank and transfusion services, ensuring compliance with CLIA, TJC, CAP, and AABB standards
• Lead and supervise a team of technologists, providing training, performance reviews, and quality assurance
• Coordinate schedules, including coverage for off-hours, weekends, and on-call duties
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, safety, and quality control procedures
• Troubleshoot equipment and ensure proper maintenance of laboratory instruments such as EPIC Beaker, Soft Bank, and Orthovison systems
• Implement and update policies, procedures, and safety protocols
• Ensure accurate processing of blood and specimen collection, handling, and documentation
• Collaborate with medical staff and regulatory agencies to uphold safety and quality standards

What You Need

• 
  Required:
  
  • Bachelor's degree in medical technology, biological, chemical, or physical sciences from an accredited institution
  • MLS certification from ASCP, AMT, AAB, or HHS
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant laboratory experience, including significant blood bank experience
  • Extensive knowledge of blood bank regulations and compliance
  • Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills

  • Advanced SBB (Blood Bank) certification
  • Experience with EPIC Beaker, Soft Bank, Orthovison systems
