What Youll Do
- Support cardiac catheterization procedures by preparing labs and operating imaging equipment such as fluoro, ultrasound, and digital systems
- Document patient information and hemodynamic data accurately during procedures
- Assist with patient positioning and securing on the procedure table, ensuring safety and comfort
- Collaborate with medical teams to optimize patient care and procedural efficiency
- Maintain aseptic techniques and adhere to safety protocols, acting as radiation safety representative during X-ray use
- Support and train on advanced cath lab technologies, including intra-aortic balloon pumps, atherectomy, and other specialized devices
- Ensure equipment functionality, perform quality control, and troubleshoot issues as needed
- Assist with patient transport and department operations to enhance workflow
- Comply with organizational policies on patient safety, infection control, and privacy
What You Need
Required:- Graduate from an accredited radiology or healthcare-related program or an acceptable equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (AHA)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (AHA) if working independently at pediatric facilities
- State licensure (e.g., MRT or LMRT in Texas) as applicable
- 0-1 year of experience in a clinical setting (preferred)
Preferred:- Additional certifications such as RCIS, RCES, RCS, or ARRT modality-specific credentials
- Experience with invasive cardiovascular imaging and specialized cath lab procedures
