What You’ll Do
  • Support cardiac catheterization procedures by preparing labs and operating imaging equipment such as fluoro, ultrasound, and digital systems
  • Document patient information and hemodynamic data accurately during procedures
  • Assist with patient positioning and securing on the procedure table, ensuring safety and comfort
  • Collaborate with medical teams to optimize patient care and procedural efficiency
  • Maintain aseptic techniques and adhere to safety protocols, acting as radiation safety representative during X-ray use
  • Support and train on advanced cath lab technologies, including intra-aortic balloon pumps, atherectomy, and other specialized devices
  • Ensure equipment functionality, perform quality control, and troubleshoot issues as needed
  • Assist with patient transport and department operations to enhance workflow
  • Comply with organizational policies on patient safety, infection control, and privacy
What You Need
Required:
  • Graduate from an accredited radiology or healthcare-related program or an acceptable equivalent
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) (AHA)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (AHA) if working independently at pediatric facilities
  • State licensure (e.g., MRT or LMRT in Texas) as applicable
  • 0-1 year of experience in a clinical setting (preferred)

Preferred:
  • Additional certifications such as RCIS, RCES, RCS, or ARRT modality-specific credentials
  • Experience with invasive cardiovascular imaging and specialized cath lab procedures
