    Hardware Maintenance Engineer
    Location: Aurora, CO
    Clearance Required: Top Secret/SCI
    Schedule: 24/7 rotating support


    About the Role:
    We are seeking a Hardware Maintenance Engineer to provide real-time operational support for mission-critical communication and computing systems. In this role, you’ll ensure high availability, redundancy, and rapid recovery of Ground Communication Network infrastructure.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Perform 24/7 real-time support for mission and support systems at operational sites.
    • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, including emergency repairs, on communication and computing equipment.
    • Ensure redundant and reliable data and communication paths to sustain system operations.
    • Operate and manage a Support Center, offering oversight of inter-site networks and telecommunications systems.
    • Support operational crews with hardware configuration, offering guidance and recommendations for optimized system performance.


    Requirements

    Desired Skills & Experience:

    • Strong understanding of hardware, networking, communication systems, and antenna infrastructure.
    • Ability to identify and troubleshoot system alarms, anomalies, and faults, recommending and implementing fixes.
    • Familiarity with network/system monitoring tools (e.g., Network Node Manager, HP OpenView).
    • Experience using diagnostic equipment (e.g., Fluke meters, BERTs, cable analyzers, sniffers) and standard tools.
    • Hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper routers, switches, and firewalls.
    • Proven ability to follow SOPs, checklists, and maintenance protocols.
    • Skilled at coordinating real-time troubleshooting across internal teams and external partners.
    • COMSEC experience preferred.
