TITLE: 1:1 Procedures Nurse
LOCATION: Heritage High School

Hours / Work Times
7.50 Hours Per Day (7:55 a.m. - 3:55 p.m. includes 30 minute unpaid lunch)
5.33 Hours on Early-Release Days (7:55 a.m. - 1:45 p.m. includes 30 minute unpaid lunch)
190 Days Per Year (180 student days/10 holidays)
A valid First Aid/CPR card must be submitted to Classified Personnel within 45 days of hire. Only courses with a "hands-on" component taught by a certified instructor are acceptable.
This position will remain open until a qualified applicant is selected. The earliest date a recommendation for hire may be submitted is after 08/31/26.
Bus-duty hours/days are contingent on student transportation needs.

Salary Placement: New employees will start at the minimum hourly rate in the classification salary range. However, employees who have verified prior years of service of similar occupational experience may receive experience credit towards salary step placement.

SUMMARY STATEMENT:
The Procedures Nurse is delegated by school nurses and is responsible for performing clean intermittent catheterization (CIC), diabetic care for students with disabilities, as well as administering tube feedings or suctioning when necessary. The Procedures Nurse also performs other health related activities as requested by the Registered Nurses. The Procedures Nurse will assist in care delivery and educating students about their medical needs. The Procedures Nurse will travel to several sites each day.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT NECESSARY:
Sterile and Clean Catheters, feeding tubes, and all other tools and equipment needed to perform the essential functions as listed above.
