Position Overview

We are seeking Metal Finishers / Belt Grinders to join a metal fabrication and manufacturing operation in Dover, Pennsylvania.

This hands-on production role focuses on improving the surface quality and appearance of fabricated metal components. The selected candidates will use belt grinding and finishing equipment to remove imperfections, smooth rough areas, deburr edges, and prepare metal parts for the next stage of production or final finishing.

The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, good hand-eye coordination, and the ability to identify surface imperfections and produce a consistent finish.

Candidates with experience in metal finishing, grinding, polishing, de-burring, fabrication, or other hands-on manufacturing work are encouraged to apply.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate belt grinders to finish fabricated metal parts and components.
• Grind and smooth metal surfaces to remove imperfections.
• Remove burrs, rough edges, scratches, and other surface defects.
• Polish and finish metal parts to meet required appearance and quality standards.
• Visually inspect parts before and after finishing.
• Handle fabricated metal components safely throughout the production process.
• Identify and report defects or quality concerns.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow established production, quality, and safety procedures.
• Collaborate with production and finishing team members to keep work moving efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous metal finishing or surface finishing experience.
• Experience operating belt grinders or other grinding equipment.
• Metal polishing or deburring experience.
• Experience in sheet metal fabrication or general metalworking.
• Previous manufacturing or production finishing experience.

Physical Requirements

• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination sufficient to operate grinding and finishing equipment.
• Ability to safely handle fabricated metal parts and components.
• Ability to perform detailed work requiring consistent control of hand-operated equipment.

Work Environment

• Onsite metal fabrication and manufacturing environment in Dover, Pennsylvania.
