We are rapidly growing, changing, and improving every aspect of our business. We have an immediate need for 01 Journeyman Electricians seeking to grow along with our company.
The 01 Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in Commercial, Industrial and Residential properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment according to relevant codes and safety standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine the layout and wiring of electrical systems.
- Inspect electrical components, such as transformers, circuit breakers, and panels, to identify hazards, defects, or malfunctions.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems and implement effective solutions.
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems to ensure they operate efficiently and safely.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure electrical systems are integrated effectively into building plans and phases.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries.
- Keep abreast of developments in electrical technology and regulations to maintain professional competence.
- Provide guidance and training to apprentices or junior electricians as needed.
Requirements:
- 5+ yrs experience as a journeyman electrician in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
- Valid 01 electrician's license or certification as required by local regulations.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong understanding of NEC electrical codes and safety standards.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks requiring manual labor and working in various conditions.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Keep the job site clean before leaving and be kept clutter free during the work.
- Treat all customers, other trades personnel, vendors, fellow workers, etc. with dignity and respect.
- Experience with test instruments (e.g., multimeters, insulation testers) and basic computer or mobile device use for reporting and documentation.
- Driving Record - A current, "FULL" driving abstract from the Department of Licensing submitted upon offer of employment. Candidates with driving history that does not meet our current safety standards will be disqualified from consideration.
Education and Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or vocational training in electrical systems.
- Additional certification or coursework in the electrical field is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Electricians may work indoors or outdoors, and work in confined spaces depending on the project.
- They may be exposed to various weather conditions and environments.
- The work may involve climbing ladders, lifting heavy objects, loading materials, digging trenches, pulling wire through conduit, and other various tasks to complete projects.
- Will need reliable transportation to job sites in the Greater Seattle Area and flexibility to work varying shifts as project needs require.
- May have to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially for emergency repairs or construction projects with tight deadlines.
- Travel may be requested to work on projects throughout WA and OR.
Job Type:
Full-time/40 Hours a week
$55-$65 per hour (based on experience)
