If this is you, let's talk!Position OverviewThe "Working" Territory Sales Manager will take an active role in selling while beginning to build and grow the Midwest Sales Region. As the Midwest Sales Region is established the "Working" Territory Sales Manager will begin to build their Sales Team and lead business development and sales growth throughout the Midwest region, including:Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, and MinnesotaThis role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic customer relationships, and growing equipment, software, service, and consumable sales throughout the assigned territory. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of the commercial printing and graphic communications industry, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a proven track record of capital equipment sales success.Our client is prioritizing industry experience, cultural fit, and sales performance over physical location within the territory.Core ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute a territory growth strategy focused on commercial printers, trade finishers, direct mail companies, book manufacturers, packaging producers, and in-plant print operations.Prospect, qualify, and develop new customer relationships while expanding business within existing accounts.Build trusted relationships with owners, executives, operations leaders, production managers, and purchasing decision-makers.Manage the complete sales process, including:Prospecting and lead generationEquipment demonstrationsNeeds analysis and solution developmentProposal preparationROI and financial justificationContract negotiation and closingCoordination of installation, training, and post-sale supportIdentify opportunities for new and used equipment, service agreements, workflow software, consumables, and productivity improvement initiatives.Maintain accurate sales forecasts, customer records, and opportunity pipelines within our clients CRM platform.Collaborate with our client's service, administration, marketing, and manufacturer partners to deliver exceptional customer experiences.Represent our client at industry trade shows, open houses, customer events, and professional association meetings.Stay current on industry trends, competitive technologies, market conditions, and emerging opportunities within the graphic communications industry.Provide regular territory updates, forecasts, and strategic market intelligence to executive leadership.QualificationsBachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Graphic Communications, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.Minimum of 10 years of successful business-to-business sales experience.Proven success selling capital equipment, production technology, software solutions, or industrial equipment.Strong understanding of commercial printing, bindery, finishing, mailing, packaging, or related production environments.Demonstrated ability to build executive-level relationships and manage complex sales cycles.Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to work independently.Valid driver's license and ability to meet company insurability requirements.Willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory.Preferred Qualifications10+ years of sales leadership experience within the commercial printing, finishing, packaging, mailing, or graphic communications industries.Experience selling offset presses, digital printing equipment, finishing systems, bindery equipment, mailing solutions, workflow software, or related production technologies.Existing relationships within commercial print, direct mail, packaging, publishing, or graphic communications markets.Understanding of capital equipment financing and leasing programs.Experience conducting equipment demonstrations and ROI-based sales presentations.Knowledge of offset printing, digital printing, folding, cutting, stitching, perfect binding, laminating, die-cutting, embellishment, and workflow automation technologies.Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentFrequent travel by automobile and commercial airline.Extended periods of standing and walking during customer visits, demonstrations, and trade shows.Ability to work within manufacturing and production environments.Capability to occasionally lift demonstration materials, marketing collateral, and trade show equipment.Ability to communicate effectively in both office and production settings.Exposure to moderate noise levels in operating production facilities.What We OfferCompetitive base salary + Commissions + BonusCompany carComprehensive benefits package401(k) with company matchOngoing manufacturer and professional development trainingOpportunity to represent industry-leading technologies and brandsA collaborative, customer-focused culture with significant career growth potential
