    CHENEGA BASE & LOGISTICS SERVICES, LLCFt Rucker, ALThe Warehouse Specialist will verify materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damage, routing materials to prescribed storage locations.ResponsibilitiesPerform a variety of warehousing duties requiring understanding of the establishment's storage plan and Installation Logistics Systems.Verify materials against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages; route materials to prescribed storage locations; store, stack, or palletize materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods; rearrange and take inventory of stored materials; examine stored materials and report deterioration and damage; remove material from storage and prepare it for shipment.May operate hand and power trucks (Forklifts) in performing warehousing duties.Perform all duties efficiently.Maintain equipment and clean work areas to maintain a safe work environment.Ensure tasks performed safely, wearing appropriate PPE (gloves, safety shoes, protective eyewear, hearing protection, aprons, outerwear as appropriate).Receive, identify, and securely store hazardous materials in designated facility zones.Utilize computerized inventory systems (e.g., GCSS-Army or activity databases).Package, load, and unload hazardous materials for transport between storage areas, shops, and primary disposal sites.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED.Minimum six (6) months of experience in supply chain, warehouse logistics, or hazardous material handling.OSHA Hazardous Communication Certification.RCRA Hazardous Waste Handling Certification.Environmental Course Certification.DOD Hazardous Material/Hazardous Waste Handler Course Certification.Hazardous Waste Central Accumulation Area (CAA) Training Certification.Forklift Certification.40-Hour OSHA HAZWOPER Certification Preferred.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExcellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to follow oral and written directions.Ability to climb, crawl, stoop, bend, squat, and reach as required to work on equipment.Ability to work outside in inclement weather conditions when necessary.Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Physical DemandsRegularly required to sit and talk or hear. May use repeated motions that include arms, wrists, hands, and/or fingers.Occasionally required to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Might occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
