Job SummaryThe Warehouse Specialist will support air compressor and generator internal and external customers by handling all warehouse functions including shipping and receiving, inventory handling, and stocking of parts in the warehouse, loading/unloading trucks and will occasionally assist customers with parts sales at the counter.Essential Job FunctionsShipping and receiving of partsAssist with the replenishment of truck inventoriesProcess parts transfers to other branchesStocking, storing, labeling, picking, packing, and distribution of all parts and suppliesResponsible for receiving freight in and shipping outgoing freightPhysical receipt, checking, and storage of delivered parts into the warehouse; performs inventory of warehouse partsEnsures policies for proper receipt, storage, and distribution of parts; reviews invoicesOperates a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipmentEnsures all safety rules are strictly observedFollows company policies and proceduresPerforms related functions as requiredOrganize and control inventoried itemsAdditional Job FunctionsPromote and sell parts over the phone, email, fax and to walk-in customersProcess parts order and quote requests from the service departmentIdentify and resolve internal/external customer parts issuesParts delivery and pickupPerform general housekeeping and facility maintenance as requiredRequired to support the sales and service department, as well as other parts department personnel as neededOther tasks and projects as assignedExperience and SkillsRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (including physical and work environment)Computer literacy is required, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel)Ability to handle working in a non-climate controlled environment for extended periods of timeRequired to wear proper PPE (personal protective equipment) including steel-toed shoesMust be able to lift up to 50lbMust operate forklift vehicleMust have basic math skills for computing percentages, multipliers, sales tax, and totals on parts ordersKnowledge of inventory control methods and procedures preferredAbility to perform work during prolonged standing up to 8 hours; frequent bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, grasping, feeling and repetitive motion also requiredAbility to perform functions during occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling and finger activitiesMinimum Job QualificationsHigh School or equivalent (GED)Must have and maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record (driving history) for insurability purposes#J-18808-Ljbffr
