Position Summary

The Vice President of Student Services serves as Victoria Colleges chief student services and enrollment executive and is a member of the Presidents Cabinet. Reporting directly to the President, the Vice President provides executive leadership for a comprehensive student services division while contributing to institutional strategy, organizational effectiveness, and the long-term success of the College.

As a member of the Presidents executive leadership team, the Vice President serves as a trusted advisor to the President, collaborates with fellow Cabinet members to advance institutional priorities, and exercises executive leadership that supports the mission, vision, values, and strategic direction of Victoria College.

Qualifications

The Vice President of Student Services is expected to be an experienced, collaborative, and visionary executive who demonstrates the leadership, judgment, and strategic perspective necessary to advance Victoria Colleges mission and long-term institutional success.

Minimum Qualifications

The successful candidate shall possess

  • A masters degree from an accredited college or university in higher education, student affairs, educational leadership, public administration, business administration, or a closely related field;
  • A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible leadership experience in education, including administrative responsibility within student services, enrollment management, or a related area;
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating with multiple departments in an educational setting;
  • Demonstrated success in strategic planning, organizational leadership, and institutional improvement;
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing budgets and institutional resources; and
  • Experience supervising, developing, and evaluating professional staff.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates who possess

  • An earned doctorate from an accredited institution;
  • Executive leadership experience at a comprehensive community college;

Physical Demands

The essential functions of this position require the ability to

  • Communicate effectively in person, virtually, and in writing;
  • Remain stationary or move throughout college facilities for extended periods;
  • Operate standard office equipment and technology;
  • Travel independently to various locations;
  • Occasionally lift or move materials weighing up to 25 pounds; and
  • Perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

The following benefits apply to all full-time positions scheduled to work 30 hours or more each week. These full-time positions are also eligible to participate in our TRS retirement plan.

Participation in the Teacher Retirement System is mandatory (ORP option for eligible employees)

  • Currently, the employee contribution is 8.25%. The state and Victoria College, together, contribute 8.25%
  • Social security is deducted each pay period
  • Payroll deduction for 403-b and 457 deferred compensation plans are available

Note: Applicants who travel over 200 miles round trip will be reimbursed up to $500 for travel expenses according to the travel reimbursement procedure. However, applicants who decline employment offers will not be reimbursed. Travel reimbursements are not processed until after all interviews have concluded and an offer of employment has been extended to and accepted by the candidate selected for hire.
