About the team:

Our team develops and enhances the Search, Personalization, and Advertising Data Science platforms that support digital shopping experiences at Walmart and Sam's Club. We create advanced machine learning and AI-driven algorithms to help millions of customers find relevant products, receive tailored recommendations, and engage with sponsored content throughout their shopping journey. Leveraging expertise in predictive analytics, data strategy, and natural language processing, the team continuously innovates to deliver impactful data solutions that improve customer engagement and drive business value across multiple digital channels.

What you''ll do:

• Identify and source relevant data from multiple business domains, ensuring data quality and suitability for analysis.
• Develop and implement data strategies aligned with business objectives to unlock value from data assets.
• Build, assess, and validate predictive models using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques.
• Create clear, insightful data visualizations to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
• Translate complex business problems into data-driven solutions and actionable insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy and scale models in production environments.
• Mentor junior associates on analytical methods, coding best practices, and data storytelling.

What you''ll bring:

• Strong expertise in predictive analytics, machine learning algorithms, and applied mathematics to develop and validate advanced models.
• Proficiency in Python programming and data visualization tools such as Matplotlib, Plotly, Tableau, or PowerBI for effective data representation.
• Experience with data strategy, including data quality assessment, data governance, and identifying suitable data sources across SQL and NoSQL systems.
• Knowledge of natural language processing, deep learning, and MLOps to deploy and scale machine learning models efficiently.
• Ability to translate complex business problems into data-driven solutions and communicate insights clearly to stakeholders.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00 - $286,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location).
