The group prioritizes extensibility, maintainability, and alignment with enterprise standards and security. Members collaborate across functions to deliver robust, modular solutions while guiding architectural decisions and incident prevention strategies. This team fosters engineering excellence through technical leadership, continuous improvement, and innovation to support Walmart's evolving platform and customer needs.

What you'll do...

• Lead platform engineering efforts to deliver scalable, cloud-native infrastructure and reusable tooling supporting AI/ML frameworks.
• Drive full software development lifecycle across multiple teams, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and real-time data processing.
• Architect intelligent software systems integrating AI agents and advanced model-driven design techniques.
• Provide strategic technical leadership, mentorship, and promote engineering best practices across teams.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable technical requirements and measurable success metrics.
• Maintain architectural documentation and ensure alignment with long-term platform strategies.
• Foster continuous improvement through innovation, knowledge sharing, and adoption of emerging technologies.

What you'll bring:

• Extensive experience in platform engineering leadership, delivering scalable, cloud-native architectures and reusable tooling.
• Proven ability to drive full software development lifecycle, including CI/CD, testing, monitoring, and incident response.
• Expertise in designing distributed systems optimized for real-time data processing and AI/ML integration.
• Strong technical judgment with a focus on long-term architectural decisions and system reliability.
• Demonstrated skills in mentoring engineers and influencing cross-team architectural standards.
• Proficiency in applying model-driven design and leveraging AI agents to enhance development velocity.
• Effective collaboration and communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders to align solutions with business needs.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00 - $286,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
