Role summary:
The Manager, Automation Engineering leads the strategy, design, and planning of storage capacity solutions across the Ambient First Mile network. This role leads the design of storage densification solutions, develops capacity roadmaps, and identifies innovative approaches to maximize asset utilization across the network while maintaining flexibility for future business needs. This position combines engineering, network design, analytics, and capital planning expertise to evaluate storage capacity requirements, develop scalable solutions, and drive investment decisions. The manager leads the end-to-end lifecycle of capacity enhancement initiatives, including concept development, business case creation, vendor selection, capital approval, and implementation handoff.
