Role summary:

The Assortment Insights Manager supports the development of category and department assortments and layouts, aligning strategies with overall category and department goals. This role analyzes data to identify customer behavior and industry trends, and translate those data points into actionable insights for the Merchandising team. The position includes data analysis and storytelling, influence, and fostering strong cross-functional relationships. The manager drives continuous improvement and upholds company values by promoting integrity, accountability, and a customer-focused approach to deliver impactful business results.

About the team:

The Assortment Insights team transforms complex customer, business, and industry data into clear, actionable insights that guide merchandising strategy across stores and digital platforms. The team identifies opportunities to optimize assortment, space, and customer experience in alignment with evolving needs, supporting future growth. Collaborating closely with Merchandising and cross-functional partners, the team influences decisions on assortment, localization, space allocation, category flow, and digital experiences. By integrating multiple data sources, they translate complex datasets into clear insights, highlight key opportunities, and provide strategic recommendations to enhance the customer experience and drive business performance.

What you''ll do:

• Shape assortment strategy using customer behavior, channel preferences, and category performance across stores and digital.
• Conduct advanced insights work including segmentation, trip missions, clustering, and localization to understand customer needs.
• Generate actionable insights and recommendations by analyzing data, trends, performance drivers, and market opportunities and translating those into actionable insights.
• Deliver diagnostics and performance narratives to identify what's working (and what isn't), identifying root causes and translate findings into clear actions and priorities.
• Develop next-generation space recommendations that improve customer experience, shopability, and productivity.
• Measure impact by defining success metrics, developing test vs. control approaches, evaluating results, and refining recommendations over time.

What you''ll bring:

• Experience in merchandising, strategy, insights, or analytics with a demonstrated ability to connect insights to business decisions.
• Strong strategic and analytical thinking, including data literacy and the ability to synthesize multiple data inputs into a clear point of view and practical recommendations.
• Ability to influence cross-functional partners through strong storytelling, executive-ready communication, and stakeholder management.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset, able to define structure, drive clarity, and move work forward.
• Ability to leverage artificial intelligence to analyze complex data, accelerate insights, and develop creative solutions to business challenges.

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00 - $130,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
