Quality Assurance, Food Safety, and Compliance
Maintains the highest standards of quality and food safety by monitoring, testing, recording, and reacting to data pertaining to products, production processes, and quality systems.
Monitors Critical Control Points (CCPs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), raw materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with federal, state, and company specifications.
Produces accurate and reliable results while effectively multitasking in a fast-paced work environment.
Anticipates potential problems and conflicts, maintaining a proactive approach to business operations.
Completes work assignments and priorities by utilizing policies, data, and available resources.
Collaborates with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners to achieve organizational goals.
Identifies priorities, deadlines, and expectations while communicating progress and relevant information effectively.
Determines and recommends solutions to address improvement opportunities and adapts to change, challenges, and feedback.
Complies with company policies, procedures, standards of ethics, and integrity by implementing related action plans and utilizing the Open Door Policy in business processes and practices.
Maintains knowledge of laboratory functions, including operations, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
Cross-trains within the Food Safety and Quality Assurance Department, including roles such as:
MSS
Validation Coordinator
Sanitation Specialist
Quality Systems Specialist
Microbiology Technician
Sustains and manages calibration programs for plant instruments and equipment.
Utilizes a continuous improvement mindset by identifying and correcting process improvement opportunities.
Conducts Statistical Process Control (SPC) activities and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations.
Participates in projects that promote continuous improvement methodologies.

The hourly wage range for this position is $23.00 - $28.80The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
