    Transportation Technical Lead

    Transportation Technical Lead to plan and coordinate projects, serve as a senior technical advisor on projects of particular complexity, assist the project manager, and serve as the technical lead and main point of contact with clients, as needed. TRAVEL: Travel is primarily local during the business day.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Landscape Architecture, Planning, or a related field
    • 8+ years of experience
    • Experience in trail and/or multi-modal transportation, or the motivation to learn this specialty, is required
    • Understanding of plan production, design grade, task management, schedule, and budget management
    • Willingness to train, mentor, and lead individuals within the department
    • PE, PLA/RLA, AICP, or other relevant certifications are preferred
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD, and other industry-based software

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Projects may include trails, roadways, sidewalks, green and complete streets, and active transportation projects for ODOT, LPA, and Non-LPA clients throughout the state of Ohio.
    • Train, lead and mentor the company's planning, design, engineering technical, and construction associates.
    • Present as the subject matter expert for specialized areas.
    • Provide oversight related to the scope, schedule, and budget for assessment, planning, design, and capital improvement projects.
    • Perform and administer complex planning, design, and engineering work – requiring exceptional professional training and experience.
    • Perform long-term budget and capacity planning.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain planning, design, and engineering standards, including standard specifications and drawings.
