The EH&S Technician supports the EH&S Manager to assist in implementation of common EH&S programs as well as policy or processes. Performs daily audits of work areas and team member compliance. Administers designated employee training programs. Manages daily support activities within a location. Duties could include regulatory fieldwork, data collection, compliance auditing, training, and emergency response. Completes day-to-day EH&S production floor responsibilities. This role requires someone that is results oriented and compliance driven.

Work is closely supervised. Problems faced are not typically difficult nor complex. Explains facts, policies and practices related to job area.
Knowledge & Skills:
Knowledge of Health & Safety fundamentals and best practices and OSHA Knowledge of manufacturing work environments Proficiency in MS Office: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and data entry applications Effective verbal and written communication skills; safety acumen and interpersonal skills Effective organizational and time management skills Attention to detail, accuracy and effective problem solving skills Ability to establish positive work relationships and ability to engage with employees to educate and comply with safety policies/procedures Ability to apply strong work ethics and integrity on the job Ability to confidentially handle sensitive/confidential information Ability to apply good judgement, strong work ethics and integrity on the job.
Competency:
Experience: 1 – 3 years of experience or working knowledge of EH&S fundamentals is a plus, especially in a high volume manufacturing environment Education/Certification: High School diploma or GED OSHA 10-hour General Industry through In-house training & Certification
