Position Summary. The Data Integration Developer works as part of a project team working to deliver an Azure cloud-based application with integrations into multiple on-prem systems. The candidate will build and support prem-to-cloud integrations with SQL Server and Oracle databases. Position Reports to [Director, Application Development] Responsibilities • Integration development between on-prem SQL Server/Oracle databases and Azure cloud • Develop and design database schema, SQL queries and turning, stored procedures, and Azure Data factory. • Develop, create, and support Azure Data Factories pipelines, data flows, and code repositories. • Use tools to exchange or transform data among heterogeneous systems and platforms. • Work with other application development teams on integration requirements • Create, design and architect integrations based upon business and user requirements • Perform both logical and physical modeling of database objects for optimal performance • Develop project plans and timelines when requested to meet critical delivery dates • Accountable for meeting delivery dates on assigned projects and tasks • Support the business during afterhours as needed • Production and End User Support Activities. • Create and update System documentation and Design specifications. • Apply industry software development standards and best practices. • Estimate effort involved in completing various development tasks. • Report activities and progress to the management on a weekly basis. Additional Job Details : Role Requirements • Experience with MS SQL, Azure SQL, Azure Storage • Oracle PL/SQL programming and performance tuning skills are a plus • T-SQL stored procedures and triggers • Proven work experience as a Database developer • Experience with technologies such as Delta Lake, Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL and other industry standard data management tools. • Ability to work effectively in a team environment • Must have strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills • Must have strong verbal and written communications skills • Detail-oriented, organized, and ability to multi-task with minimal supervision • Self-motivated individual able to manage small to medium-sized projects • In-depth understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, recovery, security and monitoring) Other Duties.
