Travel: Yes, 10% of the time.ResponsibilitiesSources and procures goods and services from many suppliers to include softwareInitiates Requests for Quotations and Proposals and receives same, analyzing proposed pricing from potential suppliersIn conjunction with quality organization, evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedulesWorks with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products requiredIdentifies opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through targeted negotiationsIssues purchase ordersManages performance of purchase orders, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulationsEmploys sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow‑up activitiesEnsures that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation & warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recordedProvides support and clearly communicates solutions that are in accordance with defined process and proceduresReviews and approves supplier payment as neededStrong oral and written communication and interpersonal skillsSelf‑starter who is able to work with minimal directionBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain management or related fieldsExperience with using Microsoft Office Products including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, TeamsAbility to travel 10–15% of the timeU.S. CitizenshipAbility to obtain and maintain a Top Secret ClearancePreferred QualificationsSourcing and buying computer hardware and electronic components experienceExperience with negotiation of terms and conditionsFAR/DFAR or government contracts experienceExperience with financial analysis or price analysisExperience using SAP or similar ERP systemsExperience in multi‑tasking in a challenging environmentSalary and BenefitsPrimary level salary range: $69,000 – $103,400. The above range is a general guideline; Northrop Grumman considers factors such as scope and responsibilities, candidate's experience, education, skills, and market conditions when determining the final offer. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may also be eligible for long‑term incentives.
