SUMMARY:
The Institute for Professional Excellence (IPEx) is the corporate services division of Davenport University. We offer consulting services for customized business solutions and open enrollment programs for non-degree seeking students. In this position, students will have exposure to some of the world's largest companies through our training initiatives. Student workers perform tasks and complete projects that are vital to the success of the department and directly impact these clients and other professional learners. We are looking for students that want to be exposed to a fast paced, professional environment where they can learn about sales and training strategies for today''s business world. Applicants must be willing to take on projects and complete them with autonomy and have the disposition to participate fully in meetings, brainstorming sessions, and work as a team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate on client projects such as event planning and corporate training programs
Participate and offer recommendations during planning meetings
Assist in procuring supplies vital to successful delivery of training sessions
Review and proof client proposals, department marketing material, and curriculum
Learn and use multiple software programs including Salesforce, Articulate, Canva, Microsoft Suite, and Google Applications
Researching new opportunities for outreach and completing other tasks as needed
Work with DU internal departments, facilitators, and clients to coordinate logistical details as needed for IPEx custom and open enrollment offerings
Provide GREAT customer service, anticipating and exceeding the needs of our customers
Demonstrate and promote the University Cultural Values
Understand and abide by all external and internal regulations and policies. This includes NCAA, GLIAC and national affiliations associated within athletics or other role specific regulations.
