About the Role Location: Pensacola, Florida. Join Pet Supermarket, one of the largest retail operations dedicated to providing Pet Parents with the best selection of pet care items and passionate customer service. The Store Manager leads a high‑energy team, coaching and developing staff to deliver world‑class service and achieve sales and operational goals.Responsibilities Sales Leadership* Drive sales, service, and customer experience initiatives to meet KPIs and other store performance goals.* Ensure the team completes assigned tasks, trains team members to deliver exemplary customer experience, and communicates the store's vision, values, and priorities.Customer Excellence* Build relationships and drive ongoing customer satisfaction.* Review customer ratings and act on feedback.* Maintain a safe, clean store environment, including the cleanliness and well‑being of animals on the premises.Operations & Talent Development* Maintain brand standards, operational excellence, and loss‑prevention/safety standards to support profitability.* Manage inventory, place orders within budget, and meet shrink goals.* Manage labor hours to match customer needs and meet operational compliance.* Oversee training plans, new‑hire checklists, merchandising standards, performance appraisals, OFIs, and talent pipeline development.Business Insight* Control and maximize DSOP through POS discounts, employee discounts, and damaged inventory management.* Review, analyze, and interpret profit and loss statements to identify opportunities for improvement.Community Engagement* Plan and execute community events and partnerships with rescue agencies.Qualifications Minimum 3–5 years in a retail manager role or 1 year as a Store Manager, with experience in a retail environment.College degree preferred (an asset).Experience working with animals and a passion for pet care.Valid driver's license and access to a motor vehicle.Ability to work a flexible rotating schedule, including up to 45 hours per week, closing shifts, weekends, and holidays.Physical stamina to lift up to 55 lbs and perform tasks requiring active listening and observation.Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay.Full‑time benefits and 401(k).Vacation, sick time, and employee discounts.Flexible schedule and room for advancement.Other Requirements & Conditions Working conditions involve a temperature‑stable environment with occasional solo work and the potential for accidental injuries from pets.Adherence to company safety protocols and loss‑prevention standards is mandatory.Legal Requirements Pet Supermarket is an equal opportunity employer and a Drug‑Free Workplace.Note We celebrate the privilege of working with pets and their owners and are committed to investing in the development of our people.#J-18808-Ljbffr
