resolve all customer complaints.Maintain a high level of professionalism and positive attitude in all communications.Customer Excellence Build relationships and drive ongoing customer satisfaction, reviewing ratings and acting as needed.Focus on the customer experience, brand, and loyalty awareness by building community relationships.Protect employees and customers by maintaining a safe and clean store environment.Maintain cleanliness and well‑being of all livestock, including animal care and feeding.Accountable for protection of all company assets, tangible and intangible.Motivate, coach, develop, and performance‑manage teams focusing on the expected customer experience and selling model.Ensure that company values are upheld and accurately represented within the store.Operations and Talent Development Ensure brand standards and operational excellence are maintained.Manage controllable expenses and implement loss prevention and safety standards to support profitability.Inventory management: place orders within budget to drive sales, maintain accuracy, and meet shrink goals.Manage labor hours to meet customer needs and complete all required operational compliance.Ensure consistent use of tools, processes, and that company directives are implemented by specified deadlines.Responsible for execution of all training plans, new‑hire checklists, sales techniques, and merchandising standards.Develop, supervise, coach, and deliver performance appraisals and opportunities for improvement up to termination.Create a talent pipeline through proactive staffing plans and coordinate hiring activities.Business Insight Control and maximize DSOP through POS discounts, store supplies, employee discounts, and damaged inventory.Review, analyze, and interpret profit and loss statements.Identify opportunities to improve and maximize bottom‑line profit.Plan and execute community events and partner with rescue agencies.Experience, Education, Certifications Minimum 3‑5 years in a retail manager role or at least 1 year in a store manager role.Enjoy working with and around animals.College degree is an asset.Job Requirements Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.Ability to work a rotating schedule covering: two closing shifts per week, one full weekend per period, and one full weekend off per period when coverage permits.Must work a minimum of 45 hours per week.Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a motor vehicle.Physical Demands & Working Conditions Physical exertion and dexterity required; heavy lifting up to 55 lbs several times per shift.Most tasks involve standing, moving around, and the occasional inventory ordering.Active listening and observation necessary when merchandising and communicating with customers and employees.Work environment is relatively temperature‑stable;
