Position Overview Store Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining customer service, overseeing, and accountable for, the operation of a store ensuring maximum sales and profitability through merchandise, inventory, expense control, employee management, and managing operating costs and shrinkage. Responsible for continued employee training through company sponsored courses, internet and OJT, as well as all company funds, vehicles and equipment assigned to the location. The Store Manager is responsible for all aspects of daily operation of the store.Primary Job Functions The primary job functions include, but are not limited to:Analyzes and measures business trends; develop and implement plans to maximize sales and meet, or exceed, goals and objectivesControls shrinkage (MIA's), expenses, and payrollEnsures appropriate merchandise stock levels, merchandise adjacencies and presentations; signing, and assortment in all areas; ensure selling floor is adequately stockedReviews store trends and recommend and initiate changes for maximizing goals and objectivesEnsures compliance with all policies and procedures through regular store management and staff meetings, store walk-through and audits, etc.Continually evaluates and reacts to performance issues; completes and administers 90-Dat and Annual employee reviewsTrains and develops store employees in all aspects of the business; direct and monitor training and development for all store personnelHandles and resolves issues between employees and customers and/or among employeesMonitors and assists in Accounts Receivable collectionsMaintains all merchandising standards, display presentation, signing standards and monitor inventory levelsPlans and assigns daily goals, tasks and assignments, assuring proper completion through follow-upMonitors sales performance and adjust strategies as neededMaintains adherence to all Company policies and proceduresManages all office tasks including management of funds and media, receiving, inventory, payroll, and writing the employee scheduleCommunicates with all staffRoutinely contacts and visits customers to foster improved communications and build upon relationshipsEnsures that each customer receives outstanding customer service by providing a customer friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge, and all other components of customer serviceImplements and maintains guest service standardsTrain and develop store staff in all aspects of the businessEnsure all store employees are performing according to job functionWillingness and ability to work additional hours as needed (including weekends and holidays) and travel to various company locationsPerform any duties which may be assigned by a SupervisorQualifications Skill Requirements The skill requirements include, but are not limited to:Demonstrate honesty and trustworthinessPossesses cultural awareness and sensitivityDemonstrate a sound work ethicExcellent customer service and interpersonal skillsDemonstrate attention to detailUses reason, even when dealing with emotional topicsDisplays a willingness to learn new skills to improve job performancePromote a harassment-free environmentOpenly supports the organization's goals, values, and policiesPossess strong analytical and problem‑solving skillsEffective verbal and listening communication skillsEffective time management skillsAbility to teach, coach, inspire, mentor and empower othersAbility to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected eventsWillingness to accept responsibility; follows or exceeds organizational standardsKnowledge of automotive parts, equipment and systemsAbility to process information and merchandise through computer system and POS register systemAbility to communicate with associates and guestsAbility to read, count and write accurately to complete all documentationAbility to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register areaAbility to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store (with exception of working in the machine shop)Ability to climb laddersAbility to move or handle merchandise throughout the store generally weighing 0‑50 lbs.Ability to work varied hours/days to oversee store operationsMust maintain regular and prompt attendanceAttitude that supports the Company's goals and valuesExperience Requirements Five (5) or more years' experience in automotive retail management; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Education Requirements High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.#J-18808-Ljbffr
