Support the Controller in overseeing manufacturing and inventory accounting for accurate cost allocation and valuation. Facilitate monthly financial closing tasks like managing accruals, reconciliations, and journal entries.

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $45 to $55 per hour.
Responsibilities:

• Facilitate monthly financial closing tasks like managing accruals, reconciliations, and journal entries
• Participate in annual financial audits, collaborating closely with external auditors
• Contribute to internal control development and maintenance
• Support the Controller in overseeing manufacturing and inventory accounting for accurate cost allocation and valuation
• Assist in developing and documenting accounting policies and procedures to meet regulatory requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA certification or actively pursuing
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Previous aerospace and defense industry experience
• Collaborative and well-organized
• Experience in Cost Accounting or Government accounting a plus
