We're seeking a Sheet Metal Division Manager in the Honolulu, Hawaii metro to lead major commercial mechanical construction operations across HVAC, sheet metal, and mechanical divisions and drive measurable outcomes in project delivery, team performance, and operational efficiency.
Impact
- Oversee large-scale HVAC and sheet metal construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery
- Build and develop a high-performing field and shop workforce across mechanical and sheet metal trades
- Strengthen division profitability by managing labor productivity, material costs, and subcontractor performance on major construction projects
- Serve as the operational and technical authority for sheet metal and HVAC systems on complex commercial builds
- Represent the division in client and owner meetings, reinforcing long-term relationships and repeat work
Responsibilities
- Direct daily operations of the sheet metal division including scheduling, manpower allocation, and workflow across concurrent major projects
- Manage project budgets, track costs against estimates, and implement corrective action when variances arise
- Coordinate with project managers, field superintendents, and mechanical trade leads to align scope, schedule, and resources
- Review fabrication and installation plans for HVAC and sheet metal systems to confirm constructability and code compliance
- Evaluate subcontractor qualifications and monitor workmanship standards on major mechanical construction scopes
- Lead hiring, performance management, and professional development of division personnel
- Identify and resolve field issues before they escalate into schedule or cost impacts
- Report division performance metrics to senior leadership and contribute to strategic planning
Requirements
Must-Haves
- 10 or more years of hands-on experience in sheet metal, HVAC, or mechanical construction
- 3 or more years in a division manager, gener
