Position Summary
This role will lead the content engine for the retail media network. This role will own how we show up in the market—from what we say and how we say it, to where and when we show up. You’ll develop and execute a differentiated content strategy that strengthens the brand, establishes our point of view in retail media, and drives meaningful engagement with advertisers, agencies, and industry audiences. You’ll be the editorial lead for owned channels—including LinkedIn, the website, and newsletter—and will extend that storytelling through earned and paid media. You’ll translate business priorities, consumer and shopper insights, product innovation, industry trends, and expertise into compelling content that makes complex ideas accessible and gives our audiences a reason to engage.
Duties
  • Develop and own the overarching content marketing strategy across owned, earned, and paid channels, with primary ownership of the owned content ecosystem.
  • Establish content pillars, editorial POV, and messaging framework, ensuring content consistently reinforces our differentiated position in the retail media marketplace.
  • Build and manage an integrated annual and quarterly content calendar that connects business priorities, product launches, consumer insights, industry trends, tentpole moments, and events.
  • Identify opportunities to turn data, insights, innovation, partnerships, and client stories into compelling content and thought leadership.
  • Develop an editorial approach that balances timely industry commentary with evergreen content that builds the brand over time.
  • Partner with PR and communications teams to identify and develop earned media opportunities, including contributed content, executive POVs, interviews, industry commentary, and announcements.
  • Establish clear processes for content intake, prioritization, development, approvals, and publication across a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Manage external agencies and partners when needed, providing clear strategic direction, briefs, and feedback.
  • Establish KPIs for content across owned, earned, and paid channels and use performance data to continuously improve the strategy.
  • Track competitive and industry trends to identify content whitespace and opportunities to lead the conversation.
  • Translate channel and audience performance into actionable recommendations for leadership.
Experience Required Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of experience in content marketing, brand marketing, communications, editorial strategy, or a related field, preferably within B2B, advertising, media, technology, commerce, or retail.
  • Demonstrated experience owning a content strategy and editorial calendar across multiple channels.
  • Strong understanding of the retail media, commerce media, digital advertising, or adtech landscape and the ability to independently develop credible content and POVs on industry topics.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to make complex business, technology, and media concepts engaging and accessible.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience in retail media, commerce media, adtech, digital media, an agency, or related B2B marketing environment.
  • Experience developing thought leadership and earned media programs.
  • Experience partnering with PR/communications teams and/or external agencies.
  • Experience with product marketing or marketing for a digital media platform.
  • Experience managing executive social media or executive thought leadership.
