Position Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Accountant is a key member of the accounting team and supports the Company's continued growth.

Working directly with the CFO, you'll assist with financial reporting, project accounting, WIP reporting, month-end close, process improvements, and strategic initiatives.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain vendor records and monthly general ledger reconciliations
• Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules and monthly reports
• Monitor cash activity and prepare bank reconciliations.
• Review AR/AP aging reports and support customer invoices, AIA billings, and T&M billings
• Assist with month-end close, journal entries, financial statements, and WIP schedules
• Support audits, tax reporting, compliance, accounting policies, and internal controls
• Participate in process improvement, including internal control and accounting policies
• Mentor team members, and partner with the CFO on special projects

Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
• CPA certification or CPA candidate preferred
• Five or more years of accounting experience preferred
• Construction accounting, job costing, percentage-of-completion accounting, and WIP reporting experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; Vista by Viewpoint experience preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
