    Description

    Manager - Electrical Systems

    The Manager - Electrical Systems is a key leader within SEI's Electrical Self-Perform group, responsible for managing electrical scopes on mission-critical, industrial, and advanced manufacturing projects. This person ensures technical compliance, cost control, schedule adherence, and effective vendor coordination while serving as a key liaison between design teams, field operations, subcontractors, and clients. This is a high-visibility role within a growing strategic platform.

    The Specifics of the Role

    • Lead coordination and procurement of electrical scopes including but not limited to Medium-Voltage and Low-Voltage distribution, electrical equipment, temporary power systems, low-voltage power and controls wiring, electrical skid and electrical E-Houses.
    • Scopes typically range from $5M-$100M+.
    • Ensure alignment between MEP vendors, field operations, project management, and executive leadership.
    • Drive standardized installation methods and repeatable execution practices.
    • Participate in scope definition, constructability reviews, and pricing validation.
    • Identify execution risks and sequencing constraints early.
    • Support procurement strategy for long-lead electrical equipment.
    • Track scope performance against budget and productivity targets.
    • Coordinate procurement and delivery of major electrical equipment.
    • Support factory acceptance testing (FAT) and equipment inspections.
    • Manage supplier performance relative to schedule and quality expectations.
    • Ensure alignment between equipment installation requirements and field sequencing.
    • Support field supervision in resolving technical and coordination challenges.
    • Manage and support electrical team members.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
    • 7+ years of experience in electrical construction or project engineering.
    • Experience managing electrical scopes on large commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or government projects.
    • Demonstrated experience supporting electrical scopes valued at $5M+ strongly preferred.
    • Strong understanding of: NEC and applicable electrical codes, Electrical equipment installation standards, Construction cost control and change management, Equipment procurement and vendor coordination.
    • Ability to work in high-demand, schedule-driven environments.
