This role will be responsible for handling and preparing cleaning chemicals, sanitizers, chemical concentrations, and handling and storing the chemicals. The sanitation team identifies issues in plant sanitation and addresses these issues immediately or informs supervisor of the situation.As a Sanitation Associate, you are responsible for supporting the Company's sanitation food safety program by focusing on proper cleaning and sanitizing of plant equipment and building in a manner that meets and complies with all food safety policies, USDA, and OSHA regulations.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment according to established time constraints and quality standards to allow production to begin on timeCleans and sanitizes equipment and work areas using handheld high pressure cleaning hoses and equipment, broom, squeegee, or handsEnsures the equipment and work areas are cleaned following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety Standards, and Company Policies and ProceduresEnsure facility cleanliness by cleaning spills, floors, walls, production areas, and removing trashFollows guidelines for proper use and safety of chemicals and equipment in compliance with OSHA and Company Policies and ProceduresPerform basic janitorial duties (e.g., emptying garbage, sweeping, stocking supplies, cleaning restrooms, break rooms and common areas) as neededFollow all Sanitation Equipment guidelinesWear specified company provided protective gear at all timeEnsure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, quality programs, and report any safety issues or unsafe conditionsParticipate is safety training and keep work area safe and orderlyAbility to work independently and well with team members in a fast-paced environment, showing a teamwork attitude by respecting and supporting team membersBe dependable, punctual, and adhere to company attendance with regular attendance as an essential job functionHave reliable transportationPerform other duties as assignedSkills and Conditions:Tolerate extreme temperatures, wet and humid environments, and high noise levels while wearing protective devicesStoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and stand for extended periods, as well as walk, reach, bend, smell, listen, speak, and see in order to perform the essential job dutiesWork around moving mechanical parts and frequently lift, push, and slide packages up to 70lbsDemonstrate attention to detail, effective time management, and adaptability in a fast-paced production environmentMust be able to speak, read and write in English for safety and quality reasonsGood math skills and ability to perform simple math calculationsFlexible to work extended days, weekends, and be available for call-backsEducation and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent a plus or related experienceStrong teamwork and communication skillsGood manual dexterity and hand/eye coordinationBilingual in Spanish/English a plusHourly Rate: Pay is based on experienceBenefits:Health insuranceDental & Vision insuranceSchedule:8-10-hour shiftMonday to FridayWeekend and night availability if applicableJob Type: Full-timeWork Location: On Site#J-18808-Ljbffr
