Position Description
Mayville State University is looking for a creative and organized student to plan and coordinate two faculty and staff wellness fairs - one during the fall semester and one during the spring semester.
The student will help develop ideas for each fair, coordinate with vendors and campus participants, promote the events, and assist with setup and event-day activities.
This is a project-based position rather than a regularly scheduled daily or weekly job. Hours will vary and will be concentrated during the planning period before each wellness fair and on the day of the event.
This position offers experience in event planning, marketing, communication, and community outreach.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop a theme and plan for each wellness fair
- Research activities, resources, and wellness topics
- Contact and coordinate with vendors, presenters, community organizations, and campus participants
- Help determine event dates, locations, schedules, and other details
- Create promotional materials and help advertise each event
- Coordinate supplies, displays, activities, registration materials, and giveaways
- Communicate with participating vendors and campus departments
- Assist with event setup, coordination, and cleanup
- Welcome participants and help each event run smoothly
- Gather feedback and suggest ideas for future wellness fairs
- Complete other event-related duties as assigned

- Be available during the planning periods and on the scheduled dates of both wellness fairs
Experience with event planning, marketing, graphic design, campus activities, or wellness programming is helpful but not required.

Compensation
$15 per hour
