(PT) Food Service, ESP Associate

Food Service Associate - Empire State Plaza Location

OverviewProvide excellent, friendly customer service while preparing and serving a wide variety of food products, to clean and organize The Honest Weight Coop area at the Empire State Plaza, and complete shift duties.

Status: $18.00/hour. Hourly, Part Time, Monday – Friday, 10:00am - 3pm, 25 hours/week.  (may be asked to work occasional weekend for special events at the Plaza or to work in the Food Service department at the store as needed). 

Supervisor: Food Service Manager

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve menu items according to recipe and portion guidelines
• Maintain a work pace which minimizes customer wait times
• Ensure that all product is in sellable condition and meets quality standards, making sure all unsellable items are disposed of
• Ensure that all Products are stocked and merchandised according to department standards
• Fulfill all shift duties as assigned
• Maintain all areas that area designated ours, food storage areas in sanitary, orderly condition meeting Health Department standards
• Participates in quarterly inventory
• Maintain current and accurate knowledge of products and ingredients

Qualifications:

Essential Skills and Experience:
• Ability to safely and consistently lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as department manual
• Ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task, balance friendliness with efficiency, and maintain focus
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers
• Ability to work shifts with frequent standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, reaching
• Food Safety Certification a Plus!
• Drivers License a Plus!
