Job Summary:
This posting is for a pooled position. Application submissions for "[POOL]" positions are accepted on an ongoing basis to ensure a continuous and ready pool of qualified candidates for immediate review when the need arises. Responsible for independently leading, coordinating, and overseeing work for the Community Education, Customized Training, and Corporate Training programs. Leads communication and coordination with instructors, operation of the multidimensional evaluation process, and organization and development of classes for the Community Education program. Independently coordinates the operation of the non-credit registration process for Customized and Corporate Training programs. Supports faculty in analyzing and addressing the needs of the public, government agencies, community organizations, businesses, and industries.
Essential Duties:
- Works with the Director on creating and analyzing past, current, and future process maps for functionality and effectiveness.
- Leads planning sheet organization for all community education classes, including, but not limited to, collaborating with the coordinators and instructors to compile, create, and complete necessary documentation in order to execute the planning process on a daily basis.
- Coordinates community education communication marketing and creative projects, which includes, but is not limited to, development, execution, and distribution of graphics, flyers, and templates for internal staff and instructor communication.
- Leads roster creation and distribution process for all community education instructors by tracking, compiling, organizing, and distributing student contact information and liability waiver completion.
- Establishes contacts with the community. Communicates verbally, in writing, and electronically with business clients, instructors and students. Coordinates registration-focused communication with business clients. Coordinates distribution of resources for instructors to teach their classes, including, but not limited to, student contact information, enrollment data, and LBCC Gmail and Zoom access. Provides customer service for student needs.
- Independently coordinates the successful operation of the community education instructor and student evaluation process. This includes, but is not limited to, creating, collecting, analyzing, and compiling and synthesizing evaluation data, including storage, following up with the coordinators and director on trends, and providing feedback to instructors.
- Coordinates the registration process for the corporate training and professional development program, including, but not limited to, communicating with clients to collect, track, analyze, and organize registration data for upcoming training.
- Works with the community education program assistant, and director, on creating new ways to analyze and track enrollment data, such as fill rate by class, category, and overall program.
- Works with the community education program assistant on schedule production, including proofing, editing, and delivery of the schedule to surrounding community organizations and business.
- Leads analysis of community education classes to promote and coordinates with marketing specialists for social media production.
- Assists with research on new classes being offered around the state and nationally.
- Uses Banner system to enter data and generate reports. Serves as back up to other Program Assistants within the department, which may include accessing BANNER system for needed information including student/class records, course schedules, etc.
- Provides general receptionist duties. Answers telephone, greets the public and provides information about all college classes. Takes messages, refers calls, explains policy and procedures, answers questions and handles routine problems and complaints. Refers significant problems to the Director.
- Performs other related duties as needed.

Knowledge and Skills:
- Requires basic knowledge of general office practices, procedures, office technology and computer use. Also requires proficiency in Excel Spreadsheet and Word software, Google suite, Adobe Creative Suite, attention to detail and accuracy of data entry and proofreading.
- Requires excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing. Ability to meet timelines, track and complete projects efficiently and effectively.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Physical Skills and Abilities:
- Position involves periods of extended standing plus light to medium work including stooping, kneeling, and carrying and lifting of light to medium weight materials with or without assistance (10 to 50 pounds).
- Requires normal hand-eye and arm, hand, finger dexterity sufficient to operate power and hand tools.
- Requires good visual acuity.
Working Conditions:
- Work is normally performed in an office setting with little or no exposure to health and safety hazards. Substantial time is spent working at a computer.
- Schedule requires working some evenings with variation during breaks between terms and peak times.
- May require some early/late hours and some Saturdays.
- Requires travel between LBCC Benton Center and other locations within Linn and Benton counties.
- Must provide their own transportation.
