Garden Crossings is a family-owned and operated mail-order and retail company that ships quality plants to all 50 states.Job DescriptionThis fast-paced part-time position includes but is not limited to, plant counting, sorting, and ready date scheduling. The primary responsibility in this role is to ensure accuracy in the greenhouse. This position may include day and occasional weekend hours (Saturday Only). Required Skills include some plant knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask. Position available beginning Early to Mid March. This position may lead to part-time work year-round employment for the right employee once hired. We prefer candidates that can work 25-40 hours per week during our peak season (Mid March-June).ResponsibilitiesReceiving, counting, tagging, checking new plants that come inPlanting and setting down newly planted plantsScanning out and disposal of plants as neededTrimming and maintaining Products as neededAssist with picking customer ordersCleaning and maintaining plants for shipmentPreparing orders for shipmentChecking customers' orders to ensure accurate orders are being shippedAssist with picking customer ordersGreat Attention to DetailWork in a timely mannerSome plant knowledge is helpful but not requiredAbility to work in an indoor/outdoor environmentCommunicate and work with other team members in a professional and courteous mannerAbility to work independently with little or no supervisionThe individual must be familiar with computers, tablets, excel, and be able to learn other software programs.Full Time Seasonal (preferred) or Part Time Seasonal (March 1 through October 31) Year-round part time available for the right candidateHours: Flexible in spring, summer, and fall, with heavier hours in April, May, and June. Some weekends and evening hours are required.
