OverviewJob Title: Planner. Reporting to: Director, Global Purchasing and Logistics. Location: San Jose, California. Job Site: On-Site. We operate across multiple offices in the United States and Costa Rica.ResponsibilitiesProcure raw materials and electrical components for PCBA; analyze inventory consumption and set Min/Max points to balance availability and cost.Negotiate with vendors and contract manufacturers for quotes, pricing, and lead times; manage order status, quality, delivery terms, and contract provisions.Expedite materials to ensure adherence to inventory guidelines.Perform vendor analyses to determine sources aligned with business plans for PCBA materials and other components, based on forecasts and stock schedules.Conduct daily MRP reviews; assist in scheduling and planning purchases of PCBA assemblies.Build and release orders; report information to Operations/Program Management.Provide regular status updates of material availability and shortages to meet production schedules.Ensure consistency between customer demand information and production build schedules.Perform material and capacity analyses; collaborate with the Scheduler to establish a production schedule and communicate or resolve discrepancies between requested and promised due dates.Analyze potential impacts of forecast and schedule changes on procurement and production volume.Manage open Purchase Orders and Work Orders to ensure proper closure; resolve issues and invoice discrepancies, coordinating rework and returns as needed.Develop schedules in alignment with operational capabilities and resources across Manufacturing Engineering, Production Test and Support, Assembly, Test Engineering, and Material Services.Ensure supplier forecasts are accurate and delivered on time; review and process ECO, RWK, and NCR on implemented stages; audit work orders to reflect required changes.Maintain a 4 to 6 week planned backlog; investigate work orders as necessary.Provide material management support for projects; coordinate all aspects of supply chain escalation.Set up Approved Supplier List (ASL) and manage Return Merchandise Authorization and rework processes in a timely manner.Plan and maintain inventory levels to ensure adequate supply for each design phase to meet build forecasts without shortages.EducationBS Degree in Finance, Business or related discipline. 2 years of experience.Equal Opportunity and ComplianceGener8 values equal opportunity in employment for qualified applicants, without regard to status protected by law.
