Together, we build a better world for everyone.Career AreaSupply Chain and LogisticsRole OverviewAs a Parts Inventory Collaboration (PIC) Support Lead, you will partner with Caterpillar dealers to improve service parts availability, inventory performance, and customer experience. You will serve as a trusted advisor and subject‑matter expert, leveraging inventory management best practices, analytics, and optimization tools to drive inventory health, reduce backorders and excess inventory, and support continuous improvement initiatives across assigned dealers.Additional InformationThis role is located in Morton, IL and does not offer relocation.This role is 1st shift, Monday – Friday.This role is 100% on‑site with no opportunity for hybrid or remote schedules.This role requires up to 25% domestic travel.What You Will DoDevelop into the Caterpillar inventory management expert for assigned dealers by learning each dealer's business, inventory strategy, operating model, systems, and performance opportunities.Provide dealer‑facing Parts Inventory Collaboration (PIC) support, training, and consultation to help dealers use PIC, the PIC Data Analytics Suite (DAS), and related reporting tools to manage service parts inventory more effectively.Support dealer transitions, new user onboarding, access requests, new store setup, stocking overrides, replenishment policy approvals, virtual planning, smart sourcing, and other PIC configuration activities.Analyze dealer inventory data and provide practical recommendations related to stocking, service levels, inventory turns, backorders, excess inventory, returns, local overrides, inventory investment, and customer availability.Lead recurring dealer Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reviews and internal stakeholder discussions focused on Territorial Dealer Availability (TDA), On Time In Full (OTIF) performance, backorders, order acceptance, emergency value, excess inventory, planned orders, and other dealer performance measures.Partner with dealers to identify root causes of inventory performance gaps and execute improvement actions such as targeted inventory reviews, TDA loss analysis, PIC Predictive Modeling (PPM) participation, enhanced stock multiple opportunities, Irregular Demand Prediction (IDP), Machine Parts Intelligence (MPI), STU Growth Forecast Adjustment, Automated Leading Parts Signal (ALPS) Rebuild, and other inventory optimization initiatives.Provide ad hoc support when dealer system issues, order file issues, missing file alerts, stock order alerts, hierarchy changes, or data synchronization concerns impact PIC processing or dealer inventory operations.Translate dealer feedback and support observations into improvement opportunities for PIC functionality, reporting, training materials, work instructions, and dealer‑facing processes.Lead or support dealer training sessions, workshops, PIC mastery discussions, and value‑selling activities that increase adoption of advanced PIC capabilities and inventory management best practices.Contribute to team projects, process improvements, reporting enhancements, Power BI dashboard development, work instructions, onboarding materials, and global PIC support initiatives.Communicate complex inventory management concepts, analytical findings, system behaviors, and recommended actions clearly to dealers, Collaboration Managers, PIC Support Leads, leadership, and cross‑functional stakeholders.What You Have (Basic Requirements)Analytical Thinking – Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions.Data Gathering & Analysis – Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources objectively.Effective Communications – Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques; ability to transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs.Inventory Management – Knowledge of processes and methods of inventory management; ability to manage local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work‑in‑progress, and finished goods.Problem Solving – Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques to recognize, anticipate, and resolve operational or process problems;
