This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment which offers an exciting introduction into risk management. You will be part of a large team reviewing intake forms to ensure they meet the requirements set forth by the General Counsel's Office. The role will require your ability to work independently and under tight deadlines. This position will complete the day-to-day tasks of completing client intake requests for opening matters. The New Business Intake Analyst will process the daily workflow for new or existing firm clients and their matters into the firm systems (conflicts, records management, accounting, and other databases). This position must process requests in a time sensitive manner.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesProcesses client requests for matter opening, add party requests, and client name change reviewsEnsures accurate review of intake form to verify all required documents are attached (ex: draft engagement letter, waiver letters, a litigation budget.Cross-checks the engagement letter with the intake form to be sure all parties have been run through the conflicts systemVerifies all fields of the intake form are complete and filled out properly with no misspellings or errorsEnters information into firm Conflicts Database that then filters into other department systemsObtains thorough understanding of each process related to all steps in the intake processConducts data entry review as part of the matter opening processCreates intake forms as part of the name change process for existing clients and the conflict related searchesReviews and follows up when necessary on all outstanding requests in the intake queueVerifies all required approvals have been received on the new business intake form before opening the matterEnsures all new business intake forms are processed accurately and efficientlyOversees the onboarding process, client transfers, and matter openings for lateral attorneysResponds to calls and emails from attorneys and legal administrative assistants regarding the status of the new business intake formsPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications (Education, Experience, and Certifications)High School diploma or GED required with 2 to 3 years of related work experience preferredAssociate or bachelor degree preferredLaw firm experience a plus (Conflicts and/or Records Management.
