    Position Description:

    CGI is looking for a hands on .NET Technical Lead who is passionate about technology and thrives in fast paced, innovation driven environments. You will lead by example designing, developing, and delivering high performance applications while mentoring a team of engineers and guiding solution architecture.

    You should be a creator, a doer, and a disruptor who enjoys turning ideas into rapid prototypes and scalable products. You proactively challenge the status quo, stay on top of new trends, and are never afraid to ask "Why?" or "What if…?"

    This position is located at the client site in Dallas, TX.

    Your future duties and responsibilities:

    . Lead the design, development, modernization, and maintenance of enterprise desktop applications using C#, .NET, WPF, XAML, .NET MAUI, and WCF.

    . Provide technical leadership for the engineering team, including solution design, technical decision making, code reviews, design reviews, and mentorship.

    . Own the end to end software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, technical design, development, unit testing, integration testing, release, and production support.

    . Develop and maintain WPF applications using XAML and MVVM, with strong emphasis on usability, performance, maintainability, and separation of concerns.

    . Design and implement integrations with backend services using REST APIs, WCF, and other enterprise integration patterns.

    . Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and Git to automate build, test, packaging, and deployment processes.

    . Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Enterprise/Solution Architects, Tech Leads, developers, QA engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.

    . Drive engineering excellence through automated testing, code quality practices, design reviews, peer reviews, and adherence to established development standards.

    . Troubleshoot complex application, integration, and production issues and provide root cause analysis and sustainable remediation.

    . Identify opportunities to modernize legacy components, improve application performance, reduce technical debt, and enhance engineering productivity.

    . Stay current with evolving .NET desktop technologies, WPF, .NET MAUI, application architecture patterns, and engineering practices, and recommend adoption where they provide measurable value.

    Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

    . 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in a Technical Lead / Senior Technical Lead capacity.

    . Deep, hands on expertise in WPF, XAML, C#, and .NET, with a strong track record of developing and supporting enterprise desktop applications.

    . Strong practical experience with MVVM, including command binding, data binding, dependency injection, and separation of presentation/business logic.

    . Hands on experience with .NET MAUI, preferably with experience modernizing or extending existing desktop applications.

    . Strong experience with WCF and REST based service integration, including consuming and troubleshooting enterprise APIs.

    . Strong experience with Visual Studio and related development/debugging tools; familiarity with VS Code, Fiddler, and Postman.

    . Experience developing data driven applications, with strong knowledge of SQL/PLSQL and relational databases, preferably Oracle.

    . Solid experience with unit testing frameworks such as NUnit and strong understanding of test driven development and automated testing practices.

    . Experience establishing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and automated build/deployment processes.

    . Strong understanding of application performance, debugging, memory management, logging, exception handling, and production troubleshooting in desktop applications.

    . Strong communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

    . Ability to work independently, take ownership of complex technical problems, and provide clear technical direction to the team.

    Education: Bachelor''s in computer science or related degree.

    CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $76,300 $146,800.
