Job Summary (Junior C# and ASP.NET Developer NCDIT Application Team)
- Position: Junior-level .NET Developer (Contract, Temp-to-Perm eligible)
- Location: Must reside in North Carolina; occasional commute to Raleigh required
- Eligibility: Must be able to work full-time without sponsorship; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Programming (or near completion) preferred
- Start Date: Flexible (ideally May/June)
- Interview Process: Initial virtual, followed by in-person if needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain web applications using ASP.NET, C#, MVC architecture
- Work with OData APIs
- Enhance application functionality and user experience
- Write clean, efficient, modular, and well-documented code
- Adhere to SOLID principles, OOP concepts, design patterns, and best practices
- Design and optimize SQL Server queries and stored procedures
- Implement end-to-end testing and debug applications
- Use Git/GitHub for version control
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, UI/UX, business analysts)
- Work closely with Product Owner to deliver business requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- At least 6 months' experience in:
- C# (v7+), ASP.NET (v4+), MVC, .NET Core (v6+)
- OData APIs (v3, v4+)
- JavaScript (ECMAScript 5+), jQuery (v3+)
- SQL Server (2016+)
- Data structures, algorithms, OOP, coding standards, best practices
- Ability to write modular and reusable code
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Interest or experience in end-to-end testing methodologies
- Quick learner of new technologies/frameworks
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities
