IDR is seeking a .Net Developer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Olympia, WA. This role involves supporting a government agency's application development projects, focusing on building scalable backend services and APIs with modern .NET technologies within a collaborative Agile environment. The position requires a versatile developer capable of working across different experience levels from junior to senior.
Position Overview for the .Net Developer:
- Develop and enhance applications based on established technical and design documentation.
- Build backend services and APIs using C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, and Web API.
- Develop and maintain data access functionality using Entity Framework, ADO, and MS SQL Server.
- Write and optimize SQL queries and support database integrations.
- Develop solutions within an AWS cloud environment and support distributed applications utilizing service buses and message brokers like Apache Kafka.
- Containerize and deploy applications using Docker.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum development activities, including sprint planning, development, testing, and code reviews.
- Follow Test-Driven Development (TDD) and software engineering best practices.
- Utilize Git for source control and collaborative development.
Requirements for the .Net Developer:
- Strong development experience with C#, JavaScript, and SQL.
- Hands-on experience with .NET Core.
- Experience developing applications using ASP.NET MVC and Web API.
- Strong experience with Entity Framework and ADO.
- Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server.
- Experience developing or deploying applications within AWS.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized applications.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Understanding and practical experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Proficiency with Git version control.
- Hands-on experience with distributed system patterns, including service buses and message brokers such as Apache Kafka, particularly for asynchronous communication.
