About the Opportunity

We are currently hiring for a .NET Developer position with one of our clients in New York, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for software developers interested in building, maintaining, and improving modern applications using the Microsoft .NET technology stack.

The ideal candidate will have strong programming and problem-solving skills, an understanding of software development principles, and the ability to work collaboratively with technical and business teams.

Qualified new graduates with relevant coursework, internships, academic projects, or hands-on development experience are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using .NET and C#.
• Develop scalable and maintainable backend services and application components.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations with internal and external systems.
• Work with databases to develop queries, stored procedures, and data-driven applications.
• Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including requirements, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to understand application requirements.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
• Write clean, efficient, reusable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews and follow established development standards and best practices.
• Support application enhancements, performance improvements, and system integrations.
• Create and maintain technical documentation related to applications and development processes.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning and delivery.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of C# and .NET development.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Understanding of REST APIs and web services.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a development team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, or .NET 6/7/8+.
• Knowledge of Entity Framework / Entity Framework Core.
• Experience with SQL Server or other relational databases.
• Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, or React/Angular.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Familiarity with Git, GitHub, Azure DevOps, or similar development tools.
• Exposure to Azure, AWS, or other cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Internship, academic, or personal project experience involving .NET development is a plus.

New Graduate Consideration

New graduates with relevant technical education and hands-on development experience are encouraged to apply.

Candidates with experience through internships, academic projects, capstone projects, personal applications, coding projects, or technical training may be considered for entry-level opportunities.

Prior professional experience specifically as a ".NET Developer" is not mandatory for qualified entry-level candidates who can demonstrate a strong understanding of C#, .NET, SQL, object-oriented programming, and software development fundamentals.
