What You'll Do:
- Provide skilled physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, and independence.
- Assist with therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfers, and functional mobility activities.
- Administer treatments including therapeutic exercise and approved physical modalities.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety techniques, and proper use of assistive devices.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure exceptional patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
- Current PTA license in the state of Tennessee.
- Home Health experience preferred, but not required.
- Current CPR certification.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance.
- Passion for providing compassionate, patient-centered care in the home setting.
