POSITION SUMMARYMonday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM position in a fast-paced environmentPrimary role is to be physician extender/substitute for minor proceduresAssist in the performance of direct patient care services, including inpatient consults and inpatient roundingPerform physical examinations, determine medical histories, diagnose, and treat illnesses and/or injuriesOrder and interpret laboratory and radiographic studiesPerform or assist procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, and fluoroPerform image guided IV accessDevelop and implement patient management plans and record progress notesPerform history and physical examinations of radiology patientsField phone calls from patients, referring physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals regarding patients to identify potential areas of concern in the medical management of the patientsEducate patients on their medical careOther duties as assignedLOCAL PRACTICE AND COMMUNITY OVERVIEW Radiology Partners Florida is seeking an experienced, full-time, certified, Physician Assistant to join our expanding practice and service line in the Tampa, FL area at HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital. The ideal candidate will be proficient in providing procedure-based radiology services in both hospital and clinic-based practice setting, such services to include but not limited to pre-procedure evaluation and preparation of patients undergoing interventional or other image- guided radiologic procedures, evaluation of patients in consultation, inpatient hospital rounds, and long-term patient follow-up. The candidate will represent the practice in interactions with hospital staff, referring clinicians, patients, and the health care community in general. We have an established infrastructure for efficient, collaborative workflow throughout our practice.Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PMCompetitive compensation package and PTOFull benefits package (health, dental, vision, 401k, disability, etc.)Physician lead and governed practiceDESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCELicensed as a Physician AssistantGraduate of an AMA accredited programCertification by the National Commission of Physician AssistantsTwo years Physician Assistant experience preferredBLS and ACLS certifications requiredCOMPENSATION:The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $175,000. Final determinations may vary based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, geographic location etc. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
