    MRB Stress Engineers - Aircraft Structural Modification - TX - 1377

    We have some long term aircraft structures design positions working on a large aircraft structure modification project in Texas. Experience with previous aircraft modification preferred. These are either long term contract or direct openings

    Key Responsibilities

    • Analyze and resolve structural non-conformances through the MRB process.

    • Perform stress analysis to support MRB dispositions including use-as-is, repair, and rework.

    • Review engineering drawings, stress reports, specifications, and manufacturing data to determine root cause and structural impact.

    • Provide stress substantiation using hand calculations and/or FEA as required.

    • Ensure MRB solutions comply with FAA regulations, certification basis, and approved data.

    • Coordinate with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and Certification teams to support production and modification schedules.

    • Prepare and document MRB records, stress justifications, and supporting technical reports.

    • Support on-site or remote production activity as needed to resolve structural issues efficiently.

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

    • Experience performing aircraft structural stress analysis.

    • Hands-on experience supporting MRB activities in an aircraft production or modification environment.

    • Knowledge of metallic and composite aircraft structures.

    • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and certification data.

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience on aircraft freighter conversion or modification programs.

    • Experience with large commercial aircraft structures.

    • Familiarity with FAA MRB processes and certification requirements.

    • Experience supporting DER-approved stress data.

    • Experience with FEA tools.
