Job Overview Giant Food is hiring a Store Manager. We want proven, experienced store leaders with a passion for customer service and a knack for driving sales. That includes customer service, training and development of management and store associates, labor management, cash and inventory control, asset protection, shrink, store conditions, and performance management.As a Store Manager, you will:Plan, implement, track, and report weekly sales programsManage, control, and track store payroll and budgetEnsure store compliance with all Giant programs and policies as well as local, state and federal food, labor and safety regulationsManage hiring, attendance, retention, and performanceLead and develop store management and associatesPreferred Qualifications Experience in a nationally or regionally recognized perishable, grocery, and/or big box retail company is strongly preferredExperience managing people, departments and/or whole storesProficiency in scheduling, ordering, inventory, payroll, P&L analysis, project management, and personnel managementKnowledge of employment law, interview techniques, and general retail hiring practicesA Bachelor's Degree in a business concentration, such as Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, or othersExcellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills; the ability to acquire and keep the confidence of associates, customers, and management alikeStaffers must be willing to work required hours, travel and take assignment within the regional business areas (Washington/Virginia/Maryland/Delaware)Pay Range: $83,000 - $138,120Why Work at Giant?
