Description

Pay Rate: $25 - $27 per hour

Location: Sacramento, CA

Duration: 3 Month

Summary:

  • Provides client desktop support with basic technical understanding (Tier 1) in Microsoft Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and computing in an enterprise network environment.
  • After-hours support available for urgent issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoots desktop and mobile computing devices, network, and peripheral issues within Tier 1 scope.
  • Diagnoses and resolves technical issues requiring in-depth analysis, such as application, hardware, and software problems.
  • Contacts on-call support for urgent issues on applications used by the company.
  • Administers active two-way communications and knowledge transfer within the team.
  • Fosters a strong teamwork culture within and across teams, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Creates and assigns incident tickets and work orders based on priority, impact, and complexity.
  • Provides continuous improvement support for all service desk roles and activities.
  • Assesses and ensures processes conform to existing policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Monitors network devices, interfaces, and applications for alarms/alerts and manages them using predefined business rules.

Requirements:

  • High School completion or equivalent education.
  • Minimum 1 year of IT service/help desk operations experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Two to four-year college degree and/or IT learning accreditation or equivalent IT work experience.
  • Assorted IT software training/learning certifications.
  • Qualitative and quantitative analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Basic knowledge of IT product line, operational process, or utility domain (e.g., Gas, Electric, Telecom Network).
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Adheres to work instructions and processes as defined in run-books and playbooks.
  • Applies technical skills to resolve incidents of well-defined scope as specified by procedural guidelines.
