    Program Manager – Issue Management & Governance

    Role: Program Manager – Issue Management & Governance

    Length: through 12/31/2026 with potential to extend

    The ideal candidate should have a strong background in risk management, governance, controls, issue remediation, and continuous process improvement.

    Position Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead and continuously enhance the Enterprise Issues Management Program. This role will be responsible for driving issue management governance, strengthening risk and control frameworks, ensuring compliance with policy standards, and partnering closely with Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and business stakeholders.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Own and manage the end-to-end Enterprise Issues Management Program, including governance, oversight, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Partner closely with Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Compliance, Audit, and business leaders to ensure effective identification, escalation, remediation, and closure of issues.
    • Develop and enhance risk control frameworks, governance protocols, and issue management standards to drive consistency across the organization.
    • Establish program metrics, reporting requirements, dashboards, and executive-level communications related to issue management activities and portfolio health.
    • Monitor issue remediation portfolios to ensure compliance with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs), risk tolerances, and regulatory expectations.
    • Provide guidance and challenge to issue owners regarding root cause analysis, corrective action plans, remediation strategies, and issue documentation.
    • Review and assess issue submissions to ensure adherence to policy requirements and governance standards.
    • Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) teams to improve issue management processes and ensure issues meet organizational quality standards.
    • Facilitate governance forums, working groups, and stakeholder meetings focused on issue management effectiveness and risk reduction.
    • Identify program risks, process gaps, and control weaknesses, recommending strategic improvements to strengthen the overall risk management framework.
    • Support regulatory, internal audit, and external audit inquiries related to issue management activities and corrective action tracking.
    • Drive a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement across the organization.

    Required Qualifications

    • 7+ years of experience in Program Management, Risk Management, Governance, Compliance, Audit, Controls, or related disciplines.
    • Demonstrated experience leading or managing an Enterprise Issues Management Program, Risk Governance Program, or Regulatory Remediation Program.
    • Strong understanding of risk management frameworks, internal controls, issue lifecycle management, and governance practices.
    • Experience partnering with Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Internal Audit, Compliance, and business stakeholders.
    • Proven ability to develop corrective action plans, remediation strategies, root cause analyses, and issue resolution processes.
    • Experience designing executive reporting, risk dashboards, performance metrics, and portfolio monitoring processes.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends and recommend strategic improvements.
    • Exceptional stakeholder management, facilitation, communication, and influencing skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
    • Experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platforms and issue management systems.
