Description

Job Summary As an Inventory Specialist, you will be responsible for managing Alto Pharmacy's inventory at a pharmacy location, ensuring that medications are properly stocked, tracked, audited, and replenished. You will work closely with the pharmacy team to maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure smooth pharmacy operations.Key Responsibilities Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inventory management tasks including vendor check‑in, daily cycle count, drug putaway, ancillary organization and ordering, supplies ordering, automation replenishment, invoice reconciliation, variance investigations, recalls, expired medication management, and other site‑specific inventory functions.Analyze inventory data daily to generate insights and recommend actions to meet inventory health goals and suggest new reports and processes.Support front‑line pharmacy team needs as required.Manage purchasing related tasks for your site or region to meet business needs.Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent.Active pharmacy technician license in good standing with the state Board of Pharmacy where you apply, free of disciplinary actions.Minimum 2years experience in a high‑volume pharmacy working with patients and providers.Must be able to commute to and work onsite at the pharmacy during scheduled shifts.Ability to learn and operate a new pharmacy management system and relevant programs.Ability to interpret, transcribe, and troubleshoot prescription information and perform basic math calculations.Effective communication skills with patients and providers on phone.Physical Job Requirements Work at a computer terminal for extended periods, frequently move within the pharmacy, stoop, bend, reach for equipment and supplies, perform repetitive computer operations, and lift, carry, push, pull, and move light objects up to 50pounds.
