This critical role will serve as our strategic mastermind for inventory planning, analyzing and optimizing processes from manufacturing through staging, facility receipt, feeder warehouses, and final distribution points. The ideal candidate will evaluate diverse flow options, optimize for cost savings and profit maximization, and configure our Slimstock forecasting tool to capture all operational nuances. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to make a measurable impact on a rapidly growing organization while working with cutting-edge supply chain technology.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Analysis & OptimizationAnalyze historical data, demand patterns, lead times, and multi-tier supply flows to determine optimal inventory levels, safety stocks, and replenishment strategies across all stages (manufacturing, staging, facility receipt, feeder warehouses, and distribution points)Evaluate alternative inventory routing paths that converge at the same endpoints, assessing trade-offs in lead times, costs, and inventory requirements to identify the most profitable configurationsProvide data-driven recommendations on how to adapt business operations to fit more efficient inventory plans, balancing idealism with practical implementationPerformance Management & MetricsMonitor and improve key metrics including holding costs, fill rates, stockouts, turnover, and overall supply chain efficiencyDevelop comprehensive dashboards and reporting tools to track inventory performance across the entire networkIdentify trends and proactively address potential inventory issues before they impact operationsSystem Configuration & ToolsConfigure and optimize inventory management software, specifically Slimstock, ensuring the core setup accounts for all detailed nuances and multi-layer impacts to prevent missed opportunitiesEnsure all system parameters accurately reflect the complexities of our multi-tier supply chainContinuously refine forecasting models and system settings based on performance data and changing business needsCross-Functional CollaborationCollaborate with manufacturing, logistics, operations, and finance teams to integrate real-world business constraints into inventory planning modelsPropose process improvements and operational adjustments that align with optimized inventory strategiesPresent findings and recommendations to senior leadership with clear ROI analysisNetwork OptimizationAssess and optimize the network of inventory storage locations, distribution centers, and warehouses to enhance overall flow and cost efficiencyEvaluate potential changes to the distribution network and model the impact on inventory requirements and costsRequired QualificationsEducation & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred)5+ years of experience in inventory planning, supply chain optimization, or similar analytical roles with proven expertise in multi-layered flow analysis and tool configurationDemonstrated success in optimizing complex, multi-tier supply chains with multiple distribution pointsTechnical Skills:Proficiency in inventory management and forecasting software (Slimstock experience highly preferred)Advanced skills in ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)Strong analytical capabilities with Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data modeling)Experience with optimization techniques and tools (Python, R, SQL, or specialized software like Llamasoft or AnyLogic)Familiarity with network optimization and modeling conceptsProfessional Certifications (Preferred):CPIM (Certified in Planning and Inventory Management) from APICSCSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) from APICSCore Competencies:Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detailAbility to think through complex interdependencies and multi-variable optimization scenariosStrong communication skills for presenting complex data and recommendations to diverse audiencesProven ability to balance theoretical optimization with practical business realitiesSelf-motivated with ability to work independently and manage multiple prioritiesWhat We OfferCompetitive salary: $100,000 - $120,000 based on experience and qualificationsComprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement plan with company matchPaid time off and holidaysProfessional development opportunities and potential for advancementOpportunity to make a significant impact on a rapidly growing, Inc. 5000 recognized companyCollaborative work environment with a team passionate about operational excellenceLocation: Forest Lake/Columbus, Minnesota (100% on-site)Employment Type: Full-time, ExemptSchedule: Monday - Friday, standard business hours with flexibility as neededHow to ApplyInterested candidates should submit their resume and cover letter detailing relevant experience to wyeargan@barehome.com or akeyes@barehome.com.
