This is a contingent hire, pending contract award. The incumbent will perform various duties within the logistical chain management system to ensure accuracy and operational effectiveness, including receiving, inspecting, locating, storing, rotating, safekeeping, issuing, preparing, shipping, material return, and disposal of materiel and equipment.RequirementsMinimum QualificationsEducationHigh School Diploma or equivalentExperienceMinimum two (2) years of demonstrated experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment, performing the following duties: ReceivingQuality controlInventoryingStoringIssuingPackagingShippingProcessing returnsShelf‑life managementRequired KnowledgeAbility to perform various duties within the logistical chain management systemKnowledge of receiving, inspecting, locating, storing, rotating (first in‑first out), safekeeping, issuing, preparing, shipping, material return, and disposal of materiel and equipmentKnowledge of warehousing methods, procedures, and material handling techniquesKnowledge of inventory functions, operations, and program requirementsTechnical ProficiencyProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe AcrobatAbility to use DMLSS (Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support), HIMS, or other authorized database of record for routine processesRequired Skills and CertificationsValid U.S. driver's license to drive up to a 1.5‑ton stake bed truckAbility to operate 4-6K forklifts for the delivery of medical equipment, supplies, and furnitureOther RequirementsAbility to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC)Must be a U.S. citizenAbility to pass background investigationMust completerequired DoD/BUMED IT security trainingEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesInventory OperationsPerform inventory and documentation of supply stock utilizing DMLSS or other military database of recordMake adjustments to stock levels as directedSupport excess or unserviceable material disposal processesCount types, quantities, and condition of items during annual inventories, location surveys, and physical inventoryAnalyze, evaluate, and revise command inventoryPerform material examining and identifyingWarehouse OperationsPerform receiving duties including receiving, unloading, and processing incoming shipmentsCheck accompanying documentation against containers or packing labelsFollow established procedures in reporting over, short, or damaged itemsOpen containers and remove dunnage and other packing materialsSegregate material according to material type (equipment, consumable, narcotic, pilferable item, HAZMAT, etc.)Generate labels and route/move material to staging areas or stow locationsPerform re‑warehousing of material in accordance with Government stow plansPerform platform stowing of material by assigned EXMED platformSustainment ActivitiesPerform sustainment efforts including review, stock, and re‑supply medical logistics itemsRemove and replace all outdated or expired items from shelves or kitted Expeditionary Medicine Systems (EXMEDS)Quality Control & DocumentationPerform quality control on transaction records and file documents appropriatelyResearch quality assurance messages utilizing DMLSS or other military database of recordCoordinate affected products/recalls with affected work centersReview documents to ensure proper information has been includedObtain missing information and resolve inconsistencies or discrepanciesPacking & Material HandlingPerform Pick, Pack, Preserve, and Crate (PPP&C) operationsPack and repack items for kitting and shipping of EXMEDS using standard packing materials, methods, and techniquesOperate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and Non‑Tactical Vehicles and Equipment (NTVE)Administrative DutiesPerform word processing, data entry, and electronic mail transmissionStore, retrieve, and maintain electronic documents/filesEnter data into predefined spreadsheets or databasesRequired Skills and CompetenciesAbility to read, interpret, and apply reference materials such as regulations, manuals, catalogs, records, and ordersAbility to read and speak the English language with correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and formatProficiency in US standard office equipment (computers, copiers, fax machines, telephone systems)Strong ethical principles and customer service skillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Ability to work independently and as part of a teamPhysical RequirementsLight to moderate physical effort requiredWalking, standing, reaching, bending, and moving itemsLifting and carrying items over 45 lbsWork is performed on hard surfacesSecurity ClearanceApplicants must have an active security clearance and/or the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance.
